Discover 100
Overview of Bajaj Discover 100 |
|
---|---|
Discover was launched with a 110cc engine, till Bajaj got into the illusion that 100cc segment was dying in India. Accordingly the Discover was upgraded to 125cc and later fitted with a 135cc mill. Till recently there were rumours that a bigger 150cc Discover was in the pipeline. Now, Bajaj India has launched New Discover 100 4G & according to Bajaj they have launched a 100cc bike to compete with Hero Honda Splendour & Yamaha Crux. But they don’t understand that this will not help them in boosting sales. People want new models and latest designs. They have again made a mistake by launching Discover 4G (4 gears) by removing one gear to make the bike affordable by Rs. 1900.00

>> COMFORT
Bajaj has put in a lot of effort to highlight the profit share of this segment as well. Bajaj has put in quite a few latest technologies and gadgets. The size of the series is very comfortable, on an average, the bike is around 118 kg, with the average ground clearance being 165 mm. Even though we are talking of commuter segment, we can talk of alloy wheels even here. |

>> SAEETY
When it comes to safety, Bajaj Discover 100 has got a fairly decent set of mechanisms to ensure that its riders are safe on it. The 2.75 x 17 inch unidirectional tyre at front and the 3.00 x 17 inch unidirectional tyre at the rear end greatly reduce the chances of a skid, thereby ensuring safety even in the rainy season when the streets tend to get slippery. |
